It's hard to talk about a topic that is so easily judged by others, critically viewed as incorrigible, and yet so prevalently used by evil against humanity. This is an encouraging message that you are not alone, that acknowledging the problem is the first step to healing and the journey is worth the challenges that come with it!
The depths that we go to in order to avoid pain create a matrix of lies that leave our own selves buying into a fantastical view of reality that takes us further and further away from an ability to ever acknowledge the hurt. Don't assume the outward appearance reflects inward health. In fact, it can more often be a cry for help than a sign of peace.
For as many people will want to label you because of your addictions or struggles, we must cling to the truth that Christ comes to the weak and the weary, he seeks us out to show us who we really are. I replay the last ten minutes of this message often because it reminds me that I need to declare unto myself who God has always said I truly am!
